It would be amazing to see a robot humanoid that can take beatings using a heavy metal ball, but does not slip over and is as agile as a mountain goat when traversing rough terrain with loose debris. Many people believed this when they watched the Atlas video. Atlas was holding a large, heavy-metal ball that had been thrown at him from a long line. But the robot’s artificial Intelligence quickly figured out how to place its legs, torso, and arms so it could remain upright, as though nothing had ever happened. An upgraded, anthropomorphic robot that looks human, has begun to show movements that are eerily similar to those of humans. It is much more agile and surefooted than its predecessor, making it human-like. The creators claim that it is able to function outdoors as well inside buildings. Atlas can be used for repetitive tasks on the shop floor, like stacking boxes and placing items on shelves. The battery-powered Atlas can pick up and place boxes on shelves and work continuously as long as it is charged. Even for humans, walking on snowy terrain can be difficult. We run the risk of breaking an ankle or tripping over. Atlas is able to walk on snow very well. It can quickly shift its center of gravity when it suddenly steps on snow and then calmly continues to move. Is it a robot? The robot can move up to doors, grasp the handles, and turn them gently. It will then walk through the door and close the door. Its movements look so much like a human that you may not even know it’s a robot. The new Atlas robot has been a hit with engineers and robotics companies around the globe. It is more human-like that ever. Atlas can be pushed to the ground by pushing a stick behind it. One experiment saw an engineer place a box onto the ground and allow Atlas to grab it. The researcher moves the box with a stick towards it as he approaches it. After the robot has stopped, he walks towards the new place and does the exact same when it is again moved. The researchers were slamming Atlas from behind and hitting it with a metal ball. They also teased it whenever it tried to grab a box. One can only feel sorry for the robot and wonder if it will become tired. Atlas AI has become more advanced with each update. it is getting more intelligent. It might be able to decide that it’s enough, and it will stop being baited and teased during experiments.
