NASA says Warp Drive could become science fiction

NASA says Warp Drive could become science fiction.

NASA thinks it may eventually be able to achieve Warp Drive. This would transform a science fiction concept into a reality. Warp Drive, a fictional FTL (faster than light) propulsion system. This is similar to the Star Trek spacecraft, which is fitted with an engine that propels it at speeds that are far greater than the speed of light.

NASA currently plans to achieve speeds of 9.4% or less. This would still be an enormous leap in space travel. NASA claims it completed a propulsion test with an EM drive in a vacuum. It claims that the new engine will allow spacecraft to travel faster through space than today’s.

Space travel could be transformed if we were able to reach Warp Drive. NASA claims that the major breakthrough was achieved through a long-term international collaboration involving many competing research teams.

NASA stated that thrust measurements of the EM Drive are contrary to classical physics and should not be used for space propulsion. The team was led by Dr. Harold White, at NASA’s Johnson Space Center. They presented their test results during the 50th AIAA/ASME/SAE/ASEE Joint Propulsive Conference.

The results of the experimental testing and evaluation of the EM Drive were presented. This concept was first developed by a small British company called SPR (Satellite Propulsion Research Ltd) in 2001. SPR suggested that the electromagnetic microwave cavities, which can convert electrical energy into thrust directly without any propellant being expended, could be used to provide this direct power without needing to burn any propellant. The lack of propellant expulsion from the drive was initially questioned by the scientific community.

This would not allow for the acceleration of the spacecraft to equalize the increase in momentum. NASA’s promising future research and trials show that spaceships can travel faster and cheaper across the Solar System, and further. It could lead to faster travel than light (or at least, it is being believed by many scientists). The Warp Drive. NASA talks about technology that can get six people, including their baggage, from Earth to Moon in four hours. It also offers a 100-year journey travelling at 9.4% light speed to reach Alpha Centauri. We would need at least two generations to complete a voyage that lasts 100years.

The voyage would last 100 years and the astronauts would be able to look after their children until they died. Paul March, an engineer at JSC who is working on the EM Drive, stated that his work at Eagleworks is a continuation and extension of his work on solving the “fundamental problem” that hindered manned spaceflight since the end of Apollo’s moon program.

“This is that we need to have a reliable power source and propulsion technology. None of this new technology has passed rigorous peer review so it cannot be proven that it is truly the best. An EM Drive would have to be installed in a spacecraft with a strong nuclear power plant.
