An engineering team and coders are constructing the Bloodhound SCC, which will be the fastest car capable of reaching 1000 speeds (1 ,600 km/h). It will perform a gentle 200 (322speed kpg test in the UK later in the year. The full-throttle sprint will then be tested in South Africa. They were thrilled to receive their Bloodhound Supersonic Car kit (SSC), which contained 3 ,500 parts, as well as a Rolls-Royce EJ 200 engine, that’s normally found in the Eurofighter Typhoon. A cluster of Nammo rockets were also included, and they will power next-generation space launchers. The kit also contains a 550 supercharged Jaguar V8 to pump oxygen into the rocket. The Bloodhound SCC was built using 110 man years. The team plans to set a new Land Speed Record in South Africa’s Kalahari Desert later this year. According to the Bloodhound Project website it isn’t their main goal to go super fast. Its main goal is to “inspire the next generation” of scientists and engineers by “showcasing these topics in the most exciting manner possible.” This year, the Bloodhound SSC will break the land speed records.
