According to a new survey, the biggest reason why you do not buy an electric car is that you worry about the environmental impact of the batteries and is also a clear obstacle to choosing the pure electric car.
– Previously, concerns about reach and high prices have been the main arguments against a switch to electric power
According to a study conducted by the analysis, concern about the environmental impact of batteries is the most important reason for choosing the electric car. 1,503 people participated in the survey and have responded to their attitude towards electric cars and charging hybrids. 57 percent responded that battery production is not sustainable and they also think it is a clear obstacle to buying a clean electric car.
The battery life is important
Poor reach and high prices are strong barriers to an electric car purchase, but the battery life also plays a part for those who participated in the survey. 47 percent cited life expectancy as a reason, which in some cases is incorrect.
– In the past, concerns about reach and high prices have been the main arguments against a switch to electric power, and this still applies, but recent alarm reports on pollution and poor working conditions in extracting the minerals needed for battery production have definitely influenced buyers’ decisions
