Without Restoring and Losing Data
Have a jailbroken iPhone running Unc0ver? Do you wish to bring it back to its stock state? You want to unjailbreak your iPhone for any reason, even if it is running the same iOS version. Flashing an IPSW firmware to your iPhone can restore it back to stock. However, it will also allow you to update to the most recent iOS version signed by Apple. This cannot be jailbroken. Unc0ver jailbreak offers an alternative to jailbreaking your iPhone to bring it back to stock.
The entire procedure is very simple and can be completed in just a few steps. The Unc0ver application can be used to restore the stock FS of your jailbroken iPhone. Unc0ver can restore your iPhone to its stock state. You also have the possibility to jailbreak your iPhone again at any time. Because they require you to update your iPhone with the most recent iOS version, this is impossible using any other method. Below are the steps to uninstall Unc0ver from your iPhone.
The below steps will work on all iPhones and iPads that have been jailbroken using the Unc0ver app and running any compatible version of iOS 13. It is strongly recommended to disable any Cydia tweaks you are using before you follow the steps.
Step #1: Reboot your iPhone
For best results, it is recommended that you first reboot your iPhone and then put it in airplane mode.
Step #2: Open the Unc0ver app on iPhone
Open the Unc0ver App on iPhone. Tap the Settings icon (cog-button) in the upper-left corner. In the Settings menu enable Restore RootFS and Done in the upper-right corner.
Step #3: Select the RestoreFS Option
On the main page of Unc0ver, you will now see a Restore RootFS option. Wait for the app’s stock filesystem to be restored. After the app completes, you will be asked to restart your device in order for any changes to take effect.
After your iPhone has been rebooted, the Cydia application will be removed from your iPhone. You can still use the Unc0ver app to jailbreak your iPhone in future, however. You can also reset your system settings to remove the Unc0ver application and bring back the stock settings if you don’t want to jailbreak the iPhone again. Do remember to disable the auto-update option if you do not want your iPhone to update itself to the latest version of iOS 13 automatically.
Ideally, the above steps are recommended for users who are unable to run selected banking apps on their device which check whether an iPhone is jailbroken or not. If you are using your iPhone to develop work, but still wish to jailbreak it later on, this is a good idea.
