Sir David Attenborough asks scientists around the globe to come together and devise a method to stop global warming. World-famous broadcaster and naturalist Sir David Attenborough believes that eminent scientists around the world should be challenged to find affordable energy sources within the next decade. Sky’s Dermot Murnaghan spoke exclusively with Sir David in an interview ahead of the COP (2015 United Nations Climate Change Conference, which takes place in Paris, November 30 through December 11,. Sir David Frederick Attenborough was a Londoner who was born in 1926. His childhood was spent collecting natural fossils and stones. He was awarded a scholarship in 1945, to Clare College, Cambridge. He believes that governments around the globe aren’t doing enough to tackle the issue despite the overwhelming evidence. Another special programme will also be shown, titled ‘Light on Earth.’ It will focus on bioluminescence, which is the biochemical emission light by living organisms like glow-worms and deep-sea fish.
