How to Disable Cookies in Chrome

How to Make Safari Browser More Secure

How to disable cookies in Chrome has always been a mystery to me until recently. When I was using Windows Vista I discovered that whenever you turned on the Internet it would automatically load up my favorite websites. However, when you turned it off it would just go back to the cache and all of your cookies would be lost. How to disable cookies in Chrome seemed to be an even bigger puzzle to me.

It wasn’t until I found out about the private browsing modes that were available in Internet Explorer and Firefox that I learned how to disable cookies in Chrome. These are the advanced features of your browser where you can choose how much information is revealed about you and what sites you allow to view them. In Internet Explorer you could see almost everything including the hostname for every page visited and what time the page was viewed. The same information can be viewed in Firefox but you aren’t supposed to know this unless you have a private mode turned on in the browser settings.

With these new privacy features in Internet Explorer and Firefox it is very easy to control the information that is displayed about yourself on the Internet. Now with a few simple steps we can learn how to disable cookies in Chrome. We need to go into the “about” and “storage” sections of our browser and make sure that cookies are disabled in these areas.

If you are reading this article then you are on an android mobile device. Google does not allow any other third party cookies on their servers so you need to visit their site on a pc. To do this we need to go to the settings and click on “network settings”. Here we can look at the section where we can change our connection type, for example: Fiber Optics vs DSL, and change the setting from “HTT” (High Speed Tether) to “WIFI”. This may not be necessary if you have a cable internet connection as many do but if you have a wireless connection you would at least want to attempt to disable the cookies.

How to disable cookies in chrome is also possible with FireFox. This works in the same way as IE. We need to go into the ” Firefox “section where all the options for the software are listed and then click “Network settings”. Here we can look at the option for ” Cookie Setting” and change the value from 0 to 1. This will disable cookies from being saved on your desktop by preventing them from being read from the cache. Changing the value from 1 to 0 will prevent the browser from storing any of them.

How to disable cookies entirely in Internet Explorer is also possible. To do this, you need to go into the Tools Menu. Once there, you will see the option for “Internet Options”. Select this and then click “Delete” next to the “Google cookies”. This will prevent the browser from saving any of the third-party cookies.

How to disable cookies entirely in Firefox can also be done. The only thing needed here is to find the “Afee” option. Once there, you will see an option for ” Cookie Storage & Security”. You can toggle this off and on to disable the stored cookies. Changing the values to the ones mentioned in the previous step should make your browsing experience in Firefox better.

How to disable cookies in Chrome is also possible through the Advanced Settings Manager. You can click on ” Extensions” next to the ” Browser” icon. Once there, you will see a ticked box. This will enable the user to select whether or not to include the selected extensions in the list. If you like to browse sites other than Google, you can tick the “other browsers” option and browse without fear of cookies.
