Mars One is a Dutch non-profit that intends to establish a permanent colony on Mars. 2025, will be revealing the final 100 applicants for next week’s one-way trip. It is still a little mystery what the Dutch organization looks like. NASA claims that a Mars One manned mission is decades off, while Mars One maintains that it will send humans to Mars by 2024, and will also establish a human colony. The colony will have occupants who can live the remainder of their lives, with average life expectancies. Mars One has announced that it will announce who will be on the shortlist for 100 applicants Monday. The final numbers were culled from the 200,000 applicants who submitted their names for the one-way trip. Simulator Outpost Alpha is where the colonists train to learn about life on Mars. All space travellers will travel to Mars and spend the night there in this historic mission. Never come back. In 2018, a first satellite will be launched to Mars, then two years later a Rover. Then, a cargo ship with a habitation module will follow, which will take the colonists to 2022.. The plan has been dismissed by scientists around the globe as a fantasy. They claim that the current technology is not capable of getting people on the Red Planet or keeping them alive. The mission is certain to fail. Bas Landsdorp is the private spaceflight program’s leader. He was a Dutch entrepreneur who announced his Mars One plans back in May 2012.. It will not be an experimental vehicle. The Mars One scientific team acknowledges its complex mission, but says it is feasible. The science and technology necessary to put human beings on Mars are currently available, they claim. Mars One wrote on their website that “Much” of the knowledge gained from Skylab Mir, Mir, and International Space Station have resulted “in vital data, experience with systems, and related know-how — all which can be applied to living on Mars.” Mars One was not the only organization to contemplate the possibility of a manned mission. Many historical documents, from scientific fiction to national space agency dossiers, have blueprints for a Mars settlement.
